MOOD - THE BAND BARCELONA _ ENGLISH RELEASE

MOOD is an Alternative Indie Rock band from Barcelona, one of the most known groups in the alternative local scene and now emerging in the national and international rock panorama.

In late 2012 the band launches its first Album (13 new songs) named Electric Overdose, in a special edition for the Brazilian Tour (Rio, Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte), and in 2013 MOOD extends the launching tour in Italy (Milan, Rho, Rome etc), Spain (Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona & other Catalonian cities), Portugal (Porto, Coimbra, Figueira da Foz, Lisbon, Algarve etc.), Ireland (Youbloom festival Dublin), Canada (Toronto, Indie Week) among other countries.

During 2013 MOOD also launches 5 videoclips: Memory Shots, Lost it, Slave, Out of my Head, How can you live, after Electric Overdose.

In 2009, finalists of the Indie Pendent festival BCN, MOOD goes to London, launching their EP “I’m in the MOOD” in two venues. Both the EP and the LP received good critics from the press (like MondoSonoro), Radios, Web, MouTv etc.

The band regularly plays in the best venues of the city: Razzmatazz, Monasterio, Becool, Apolo among others.

MOOD is characterized by a vibrant and authentic sound (sung in English), result of the mixing of the different cultures of its members, typical of “Barna”: Italy, England, Germany and Spain. This is why MOOD’s peculiarity is internationality and its “forte” is live performance.

MOOD’s direct “way” hooks the audience. From its free attitude of experimentation, blossoms a powerful “ rock guitarrero” enriched by originally sentimental-dramatic lyrics reaching an honest mix of brit-pop, classic rock and stoner rock.

The pop-rock signed by MOOD makes everybody sing, dance, and suddenly be moved, it sticks in your head and unifies the public.

MOOD is now recording the new EP and presenting the acoustic project “ The MOOD Whispers” (mix of covers and original inedited songs).

MOOD is been called recently “the most important independent rock band on the Catalonian panorama”, first in the Reverbnation local rank.

Main MOOD influences are: Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Supergrass, Blur, Pulp, Radiohead, Stone Roses, Madness, Rancid, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Queen, Nirvana, Pantera, The Kooks, Beatles, The Gladiators, Prodigy.
